Gina Moreno is an accomplished speaker, entrepreneur, and a passionate advocate for STEM education, Latinx culture, career development, and mental health. Her mission revolves around inspiring and motivating fellow first-generation Latinx people to embrace life boldly and unapologetically. With a social media following of more than 90,000 individuals across various platforms, her impact and dedication has caught the attention of prominent media outlets, including Business Insider, Univision, and NBC's The Today Show.

Event Highlights:

  • Gain insights from Gina's unique experiences in the engineering industry and working with tech giants like Microsoft.
  • Discover transformative strategies for creating financial wealth and cultivating a resilient mentality.
  • Learn about the importance of empowering Latinx women in STEM fields and fostering diversity and inclusion.

Erick Dominguez, STEM Program Manager at Southeast New Mexico College, is enthusiastic about Gina Moreno's impending visit. Drawing from his own, personal experiences as a first-generation Mexican-American and low-income STEM student, Dominguez emphasizes the importance of Moreno's example for the entire Latinx community, but he highlights the significance of showcasing successful minorities in the STEM industry, especially Latinas, given their underrepresentation in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.

Dominquez states, “As a first-generation Mexican-American and low-income college student, I have experienced all aspects of what it's like to be a minority. Gina's story is not just inspirational, but essential. By putting her example out there and inspiring young people, especially Latina women, we are breaking barriers and encouraging diversity in STEM fields. Gina's success will undoubtedly inspire and empower the female attendees of our event by showing them that their dreams in STEM are not only valid but achievable. Ms. Moreno has earned recognition for her outstanding contributions to the industry. With her compelling story and successful career, Moreno embodies resilience and determination, making her an ideal role model for young women aspiring to pursue STEM careers.”
