Welcome to Honors

Newly established at Southeast New Mexico College, the CLIFF Scholars Honors Program gives you the opportunity to adventure in your education. Deepen your experience at college while developing sought-after academic skills like research and workforce skills such as leadership and problem-solving.

What can Honors education do for you?

• develop your interests inside and outside the classroom
• serve in leadership roles in the community and at the college
• stand out to future employers and universities

Distinguished CLIFF Scholars graduating from SENMC will receive:

• recognition at graduation and exclusive merch
• a notation on your diplomas and on transcripts

Honors in the Classroom

Honors Projects give you the opportunity to collaborate with professors in most subjects offered at SENMC to deepen your learning inside and outside the classroom. Honors Projects can be creative, research-focused, or develop and apply knowledge in real world situations through service learning. Successful completion of the Honors Project gives you Honors credit in the course, and the chance to present your accomplishments at the Honors Symposium at the end of the academic year.
