Jonathan Wilson

I earned a Ph.D. in English from the University of Texas at Arlington with emphases in 19th and 20th-century American Literature, Composition and Rhetoric, and Theory and a specialization in Native American Literature(s). I completed my BA and MA in English at Eastern New Mexico University. During the duration of my career, I have taught American Minority Studies, Philosophy, Humanities, Composition and Research, Professional and Business Writing, Native American Literature(s), 19th and 20th-century American fiction, World and Chicano literature, Theory, and Research and Methods.

I have appeared and published at various venues and in a variety of formats. I presented at the National Association for Chicano/A Studies (NACCS), Western Literature Association, Center for the Study of the American West, The Society for Applied Anthropology, The Society for the Study of American Women Writers, Midwestern Modern Language Association, Western Literature Association, and Rocky Mountain Modern Language Association conferences. My publications include an article on Louise Erdrich’s North Dakota saga in Studies in American Indian Literatures (SAIL) from University of Nebraska Press and pieces in Chamisa: A Journal of Literary, Performance, and Visual Arts of the Greater Southwest and a chapter titled “Homeland Security: Sustaining Indigenous Culture and People through Narrative (Re)Remembering and Future (Re)Imagining in Simon Ortiz’s Men on the Moon and Woven Stone” in Querencia: Reflections on the New Mexico Homeland from University of New Mexico Press.

I currently serve on the Faculty Senate, College Council, Assessment Committee, and Developmental Education Committee.
