John Fry

Dr. John Fry is an Assistant Professor of English under the English Department. He is originally from South Texas and has been with SENMC since 2022. He graduated with his Bachelor’s Degree in English from Davidson College in North Carolina in 2008. In 2012 he graduated with his Master of Fine Arts Degree from the University of San Marcos in Texas. In 2020 he graduated with his Ph.D. in English from the University of Texas at Austin.

Currently, Dr. Fry serves as a member of the Persistence and Completion Committee, and will soon serve as faculty support for the equality club. Within the community, he plans to volunteer at Noah’s Ark, and also plans to offer a poetry workshop through SENMC’S community education program for the spring semester.

As a new instructor, Dr. Fry has much to contribute to SENMC. His encouragement to students is to, ‘follow the lights in your own skull.’
