Waheeb Al-Sharaabi

Waheeb is a dedicated educator, technologist, and humanitarian with a profound passion for leveraging education and technology to drive positive change. With a background in computer science and a Ph.D. in Educational Technology, I have cultivated a deep expertise in designing innovative learning experiences that empower learners of all backgrounds.

My journey in academia has taken me across continents, from pursuing my bachelor’s degree in computer science in Iraq to earning a Master's degree in Educational Technology in the USA and completing my doctoral studies in Malaysia. These diverse cultural experiences have not only broadened my perspective but have also fueled my commitment to promoting cross-cultural understanding and collaboration.

Driven by a strong sense of social responsibility, I co-founded the Michigan Academy for Postgraduate Studies, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing educational opportunities to students in conflict-affected regions. Through this initiative, I have had the privilege of bridging educational divides and fostering resilience in communities impacted by adversity.

As an educator, I am deeply passionate about creating transformative learning experiences that inspire critical thinking, creativity, and lifelong learning. My teaching philosophy centers on innovation, inclusivity, and empowerment, and I am constantly exploring new ways to harness technology to enhance the learning process.

In addition to my professional pursuits, I am an avid advocate for social justice and humanitarian causes. I believe that education is a powerful tool for social change, and I am committed to using my skills and expertise to make a meaningful difference in the world.
