English, Communication, Fine Arts, and Digital Media
The English, Communication, and the Fine Arts department comprises academic disciplines concerned with the study of language and the branches of learning focused on humanity and the fine arts. These include art and art history, communication studies, creative writing, English language and literature, film studies, music, public speaking, rhetoric and composition, professional and technical writing, and theater arts.
Our Mission
The mission of the English, Fine Arts, Communication, and Digital Media Department is to provide its students with instruction and practice inthe college-level writing and speaking, as well as research skills appropriate to their chosen course of study. In addition to practice in logical argument and critical thinking, the department fosters in its students an appreciation of the humanities and fine arts.
