The Medical Assistant (MA) Certificate program is just three semesters (one full academic year) long. You will be ready to get a job and serve the community as a well-trained Medical Assistant in a variety of healthcare settings. Your day will range from taking vitals, assisting providers with basic procedures, to drawing essential labs, to checking patients in and out, and updating medical records.

- Nursing Assistant
- Phlebotomy
- Medical Office Procedures*
- Medical Terminology*
- Anatomy and Physiology*
- Pharmacology*
- Clinical Skills & Concepts for Medical Assisting (includes 96 hrs of clinical rotation time at local doctors’ offices)
*These courses can be completed online.

Upon completing the Medical Assistant certificate of completion, you qualify to become a certified Medical Assistant through NCCT (National Center for Competency Testing). Becoming a medical assistant is a rewarding career and offers the a stepping stone to future careers within the healthcare field.
